KitchenAid Experience Cooking Classes

Step into a fully-equipped kitchen and watch as fun is stirred up with a variety of KitchenAid Countertop Appliances. Teachers will use mixers, attachments, food processors… even cutlery! Learn the full use of these wonderful countertop appliances as well as new culinary techniques, tips and tricks of the trade. Activities and demonstrations make this more than a store… it’s a mixing, blending, slicing culinary adventure! Visit the Log House and Blacksmith Shop at Shawnee Prairie

Have you ever wondered what life would have been like during 1790-1810? Could you imagine living in a Log House or working in a Blacksmith Shop? Come visit the pioneers and blacksmith on Saturday afternoons as volunteers interpret what life was like on the prairie years ago. You will learn day-to-day life, skills and chores of the time and see the blacksmith working.

Downtown Greenville Farmers' Market

The downtown Greenville Farmers’ Market has been a Darke County summer staple since 1998. This year promises to be another great year for fresh produce (as it is ready for harvest), baked goods and handmade crafts from local vendors. Vendors will offer various goods ranging from embroidered crafts, vintage bears/dolls and handmade jewelry to produce, baked goods, herbs and fresh flowers. Event attendees can expect to see a varied lineup of vendors and goods each week. Vendor applications are accepted throughout the season. Missoula Children's Theatre Returns to Darke County

Students entering grades 1-12 are invited to audition for the opportunity to raise their voices and explore the wonder of theatre! Due to St. Clair Memorial Hall restoration, this year's Missoula residency and performances will at the Versailles Performing Arts Center. Registration: Forms available through DCCA or prior to auditions. An adult signature is required. There is no cost to participants, thanks to sponsorship by Darke County Endowment for the Arts. The Gauntlet 5K Trail Run

Test your mental & physical limits by completing The Gauntlet 5K Trail Run! Darke County's first and only adventure race! The Gauntlet is back and participants will have the opportunity to conquer natural and man-made, military-inspired obstacles in what promises to be a fun, MUDDY race. Solo runners, ages 14-up, can run competitively for awards or just for fun and Teams of 3 can work together, aiding each other through the course, to compete for the team awards. Follow it up by celebrating your triumph with friends and fellow racers while enjoying food, drinks and entertainment. Kids, ages 7 to 13, can tackle their own mini-obstacle course! 100% of proceeds benefit The Light Foundation. Packet Pickup: 7 am, Race Starts: 9 am, Kids' Race: 10:20 am.

Family Fun Night at Eldora Speedway

Saturday Family Fun Night continues as a Eldora Speedway tradition that has become eagerly anticipated by fans and families surrounding the legendary speed plant. Featuring the UMP DIRTcar Modified and Eldora Stocks as well as a FIREWORKS EXTRAVAGANZA! This is a night where racing is accentuated with fun at affordable pricing. Adult general admission is only $8, and kids 12 and under are FREE! All tickets can be purchased at the gate upon arrival on Saturday night. It kicks off with a gigantic autograph session in Eldora's fan zone. That is followed by on-track action at 6:30 with practice laps and group time trial runs. Simultaneously with these events will be inflatable bouncers and balloon twisting clowns for the kids.
