Garst Museum's Annie G.A.L.A. (Garst's Alternative to the Live Auction)

DRAWING OCTOBER 3 @ 3 PM: They’re having a drawing for a week’s stay at a lovely three-bedroom home with private pool in Ft. Myers, Florida (royalpalmsbeachhouse.com).  Drawing tickets are $10 each for a chance to win a week at this home, just a two-minute walk to the beach, donated by Mike and Sherri Jones. Winner can use it by December 2021 (excludes January–March).


SILENT AUCTION:  Starting September 11, ending October 3 @ NOON


They are featuring a silent auction at Garst starting September 11 and ending October 2, with antiques, artwork, collectibles, gift cards to local spots, sports memorabilia and so much more   

DRIVE-THRU PICK-UP DINNER:  October 3, 4:30 - 6:30 PM

They are showcasing the new parking lot at Garst by having a fabulous drive-thru, pick-up-only dinner prepared by Montage with meal options for you to select and pre-order. Meals must be pre-ordered by September 30..

Illumination Festival

This annual Christian music festival held at the Darke County Fairgrounds returns, bringing well-known Christian artists, including Jeremy Camp, I Am They, Dan Bremnes, Ellie Limebear, as well as one artist yet to be named!

Prairie Days

Date: Septeber 26th and 27th, 2020

Time: Saturday: 10AM-5PM & Sunday: 12PM-5PM

Apple butter cooking over the fire; pioneers in and around the Log House; vendors displaying their wares; tall-tales being spun; crafts to make... must be Prairie Days! This is THE event for Darke County Parks. Each year, this Free Family Event brings in 4,000 people to Shawnee Prairie Preserve. Held annually the last full weekend of September, this event focuses on the prairie way of life in and around 1780-1810 and will feature many crafts, games and trades of the time period. Many crafts are free for children and with a select few requesting a small donation. Bring your family to the Prairie and step back in time!

Bradford Pumpkin Show - Canceled for 2020

Date: October 13th-17th, 2020

The Bradford Pumpkin Show is a fun-filled, family-friendly, community festival held in downtown Bradford, Ohio. Join us for daily parades, delicious fair-style food and the thrill of amusement rides. The five-day festival has a multitude of exciting events.
What makes this community festival unique from any other? Where else can you walk through the streets and throw confetti?

Run for the Rails 5K

Date: September 19, 2020

Registration: 7:00-7:45AM

Race Begins: 8:00AM

2019 marks the 8th Annual for the Run for the Rails 5k! The course is an out-and-back through town and on country roads. The race starts and finishes near the Bradford Community Club where there is plenty of free parking available.  The race will start at 8:00am rain or shine!  Walkers are welcome!  Race will be chip-timed by Speedy Feet with results being posted real time. Door prizes and refreshments following the race. You must be pre-registered and present to win door prizes! We have partnered with the Depot Mann Meal Ministry.  Any donated non-perishable items would be greatly appreciated.

All participants are invited to a free tour of the recently renovated museum after the event.  Proceeds from the race support the Bradford Ohio Railroad Museum capital improvements.

Beggars' Night & Halloween Parade

Date: October 22nd, 2020

Time: 7PM-9PM

On Thursday, October 24th, downtown Greenville will be transformed into a trail of Halloween treats for elementary school aged children. The Early Bird, Main Street Greenville and downtown businesses are pleased to bring this safe Halloween event to the community! There are many ways to join in the fun, including a costume contest and costume parade provided by The Early Bird/BlueBag Media. Anyone who chooses to enter the costume contest will walk in this parade, from W. 5th Street (next to Wayne Cinema), down Broadway and finish at the circle. The costume judging will take place at the circle with cash prizes awarded to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners in each of the seven categories.

Hometown Holiday Horse Parade

Date: November 21st, 2020

Time: 7PM

Voted best parade by the readers of Ohio Magazine for 2018, Main Street Greenville is busy preparing for the 16th Annual Hometown Holiday Horse Parade! The parade will take place the weekend before Thanksgiving on Saturday, November 23rd.

The lighted horse parade event boasts 90+ entries and brings an estimated 8,000+ spectators into the downtown Greenville area. The parade will travel down South Broadway, travel around the circle, and return back up South Broadway.

The parade begins at 7 pm with entertainment leading up to the main event. Also, downtown businesses will be open late for holiday shopping and dining!
