Inaugural Wine Festival supports DC Humane Society


GREENVILLE – The Darke County Wine Festival is coming on Saturday, Sept 25, 2021. There will be different sessions to choose from.


The inaugural Darke County Wine Festival will be hosted by and benefit the Darke County Humane Society. Seven local and popular wineries will be on-hand, as well as several local craft and gift vendors.


The festival will be held inside the Coliseum at The Darke County Fairgrounds. The festival will host two sessions with the opportunity to purchase VIP tickets or general admission tickets.


VIP admission includes a logo glass and 10 tasting tickets. General admission tickets include a logo glass and eight sample tickets. Additional tasting tickets can be purchased at the festival.


Pricing is as follows:


Session One:


VIP: Noon-4 p.m.: $30 (10 tasting tickets instead of 8, the opportunity to sample and purchase one extra hour prior to all other guests and the first 100 VIP guests will receive a cloth wine tote with goodies and coupons from our vendors!)


General Public: 1-4 p.m.: $25 (8 tasting tickets and a logo glass)


Session Two:


VIP: 5-9 p.m.: $30 (10 tasting tickets instead of 8, opportunity to sample and purchase one extra hour prior to all other guests and the first 100 VIP guests receive a cloth wine tote with goodies and coupons from our vendors!)


General Public: 6-9 p.m.: $25 (8 tasting tickets and a logo glass)


There is no charge for persons under 21 or non-drinkers. You MUST have a paid bracelet, a festival supplied logo glass and be 21 years or older to do sampling/tastes. You MUST provide a photo ID at entrance to be admitted with a bracelet. NO exceptions.

Wine will be available in 1 ounce samples, and by the glass. You can also purchase sealed bottles to go from each winery.


There will also be music, food, fun, great local crafters and fabulous Ohio Wineries!


No outside animals admitted. Only service animals specifically trained to aid a person with a disability are welcome.


This fun and unique event is held to raise much needed funds for The Darke County Humane Society, Greenville. The DCHS is a non-profit, no kill facility that operates solely on private donations and fundraisers. They provide a much needed service for injured homeless animals as well as an equine division. The Humane Society will have pets at the event available for immediate adoption or even just a cuddle session.
